ANTH 005 PZ -Introduction to Archaeology

This class introduces students to Archaeology. It surveys its history, politics, and contributions to our understanding of the world. It also introduces students to the strengths and weaknesses of archaeological theory and methods. Finally, it explores archaeology’s unique insights into historical processes and contexts. Students will learn when and how a focus on material culture could enhance their own analyses of the worlds they live in and hope to build.
