Description: The Relationship Between Motivational Achievement and Resilience in the Black Community
This course explores concepts of motivational achievement and resilience in the black community, specifically in education and personal development. Comparisons of research on how and why students are motivated to achieve goals for personal success. Students will be able to make the distinction between intrinsic and extrinsic forms of motivation and conduct a self-assessment to find ways to sustain motivation and growth beyond academia. Students have the opportunity to participate in discussions related to reading material, short videos, and individual session topics.
