Hammock Policy

Hammocks are permitted only in designated campus locations where hammock stands or hooks have been installed by the College.

Students may not install hammocks in other locations, nor may they add personal hooks, stands, or attachments to campus property. Hammocks placed outside of designated areas will be removed without notice. Removed hammocks may be retrieved from the Residence Life and Housing Services office or Facilities and Campus Services. Any unclaimed hammocks will be treated as abandoned property after 30 days and will be donated or disposed of at the College’s discretion.

Residence Life and Housing Services, in consultation with Facilities and Campus Services, will continue to review and determine additional locations for College-sponsored hammock stands or hooks as needed.
