Please refer to the section entitled “Computer Use/Agreement” for all the rules and regulations of computer and network use at Pitzer, as well as “The Claremont Colleges General Guidelines for Appropriate Use of Information Technology and Network Resources.”
Pitzer based Google (Gmail, Drive, etc.) accounts are provided to all enrolled students. Students receive 20 GB of combined storage. One year after graduating, storage for Google accounts will be reduced to 5GB.
Wireless internet access is available throughout all the Claremont Colleges and is accessible with your Pitzer credentials. There are limited wired connections in the residence halls available upon request only.
The Office of Information Technology is available to students for limited technical support. IT can diagnose and repair minor computer issues; however, if there is physical damage or complex issues, IT may refer the student to an outside vendor.
Printers and print stations for self-services are available throughout campus and residence halls. Students are provided with $15 of print credit each semester up to $50. Black and white printing is deducted from their account at $0.05/page. Color printing is also available and at $0.25/page. If additional print credit is needed, students can add more with cash, check or Claremont Cash. Additional credit may be given to seniors for thesis printing if approved by their thesis adviser.
Specialty printing (such as posters, stickers, etc.) is available at the Mail and Printer Center. Only cash, checks, and Claremont Cash are accepted, print credit for payment is not accepted.
