CAPAS aims to raise awareness about issues affecting the Asian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) community. Through diverse programming and resources, CAPAS fosters students’ social, intellectual, and personal growth within a supportive environment. This center provides opportunities for individual and collective identity development, essential for academic and personal success at Pitzer College, and it includes supporting First Gen APIDA students. The CAPAS drop-in center features an APIDA Resource Library, kitchen, study lounge, community engagement opportunities, computer stations, and a variety of programming (academic, cultural, political, and social). Additionally, CAPAS promotes diversity by actively engaging all community members in its programs and activities.
