PHYS 100 KS -Computational Phys/Engineering

Description: This course is a comprehensive introduction to the application of computational techniques to physics and engineering. It provides direct experience in using computers to model physical systems and it develops a minimum set of algorithms needed to create physics and engineering simulations on a computer. Such algorithms are employed to solve nontrivial, real world problems. Students will use computer mathematical software such as Maple, Mathematica, or Matlab. No prior computer course is assumed.

Prerequisite(s): PHYS033L KS , PHYS034L KS; or ( PHYS030L KS, PHYS031L KS); and MATH 030, MATH 031.
