PHYS 033L KS -Principles of Physics I Institution: Pitzer/Scripps
Description: The first semester of a yearlong, calculus-based introductory course sequence with lab (PHYS 033L-034L), designed for potential physics, chemistry, and engineering majors. Topics include forces, torques, energy, momentum, angular momentum, simple harmonic motion, fluids, and thermodynamics/statistical mechanics. Potential physics majors normally take PHYS033L in fall of their first year.
Prerequisite(s): Calculus I (e.g.MATH 030 SC) or prior high school calculus experience with concurrent enrollment in Calculus I.
