PSYC 184 PZ -Psychology of Food and Eating Institution: Pitzer
Description: This course will focus on the psychological processes underlying eating behaviors. Possible topics include food choice, the development of food preferences; motivation to eat; cultural influences on eating patterns; advertising, film and food; neurogastronomy; social class, gender and food; food addictions, disordered eating, and weight regulation. This course must be taken in conjunction with The Psychology of Food and Eating Research Practicum course. This portion of the course will be taught as a seminar.
Prerequisite(s): PSYC010 PZ, PSYC091 PZ, and PSYC092 PZ. Must concurrenlty enroll in PSYC184P PZ. Please also check the current course schedule for requirements.
