How can all types of different visual and performing arts serve as inspiration for crafting poetry? How can we engage paintings, photographs, movies, dance, and music in our poetry? How can we identify poetic moments in artistic expression and translate them into written form? Through in-class discussions and interdisciplinary analysis, students will develop skills to create emotionally resonant poems and workshop them together. This course will enhance your ability to connect with art and world cultures and discover new sources of inspiration for your writing.
