Description: In this course, students are invited to think critically about the meaning of equity and how it might be realized in contexts of historical displacement, marginalization, exploitation, and violence. Together we will explore: how have societies around the world sought to rectify inequality and injustice? When do these attempts succeed? When do they fall short? Through this geographically diverse tour of redistributive and reparative politics, we will explore the complexities involved in redressing inequality.
