Description: 40LL. Natural Disasters. Natural disasters–earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, and hurricanes–remind us that we inhabit a dynamic planet. Using recent and historical cases as a basis, we explore the geological processes and physical forces at the heart of natural disasters, examine their societal impacts, and evaluate current and future forecast abilities.
