BIOL 162L KS -Cell & Molec Biol of Organelles Institution: Pitzer/Scripps
Description: 162L. Cell and Molecular Biology of Organelles.
Chloroplasts and mitochondria are the location of some of the most critical functions in the eukaryotic cell. These organelles contain their own genomes that are regulated by both organelle- and nuclear-encoded proteins. This course examines the relationship between gene expression in the organelles and the nucleus. Prerequisite: Biology 43L/44L; Chemistry 14L/15L or 29L; or AISS sequence. E. Kwok.
