SOC 131 PZ -Black Sociological Theory Institution: Pitzer
Description: The course centers the scholarly and public contributions of Black sociologists and intellectuals whose
relevance and importance have historically been excluded from narratives on the development of
sociology as a discipline. Therefore, its primary objective is to educate students on how Black scholars
have been at the forefront and center of developments in the field both historically and
contemporarily.
