MS 060 PZ -Algorithmic Art Institution: Pitzer
Description: Algorithmic Art (formerly Creative Coding) is an introductory course to algorithmic art practices, DIY electronics, and creative
code via various hardware and software applications. Each class is a hybrid of work survey, technology instruction, and
hands-on workshop. In section one (Weeks 1 through 4), we?ll begin by looking at Arduino, sensors, servos, and circuitry
while surveying artists using the technology for artistic initiatives. Section two (Weeks 5 through 8) will focus on Processing
for algorithmic visualization and practice. Our final section (Weeks 9 through 13) will examine Python coding, specifically its
interaction with the former sections to build comprehensive creative projects.
