HIST 186 PZ -Sports Writing

Description: This course serves first an introduction to the gamut of sports writing, from the novel and poetry, to long-form journalism, memoir and biography. In the first half of the course, students will critically assess a variety of texts and develop their own writing skills in these genres; in the second, they will select and develop their own long-form sports writing project as the final assignment.
