Description: â€œCollege Access in Virtual Timesâ€ is custom built for this COVID moment. Even before the pandemic, local kids from underserved areas of the Inland Empire were already having trouble getting the necessary academic and counseling support to make college access a reality. Now itâ€™s worse. We wonâ€™t pretend to â€œlevel the playing field.â€ But we will aim to help as much as we can. You will work through and with our partner, Middle Tree Academy, to teach, tutor and guide local kids. Along the way, we will learn, in theory and practice, about the barriers that stand in their way.
