CGS 151 PZ -Global Peace and Conflicts Institution: Pitzer
Description: This course examines the nature of global peace and conflicts/wars in the age of globalized world. Broadly, it focuses on
some key and critical theoretical and practical questions, namely, the explanations of the nature of global peace and
conflicts/ wars, and what factors may contribute to practical achievement of peace and security in an interconnected world.
Analyses of case studies are utilized, as well as probing the old and the new global challenges, such as, technologies of
new deadly weapon systems, climate change, widening global income gap, role of religion and gender, among others.
