Description: Environmental Anthropology: Nature, Culture, Politics
In this course, students will gain a nuanced understanding of the relationships between human
societies and the environments in which they exist. Students will examine how human groups have
perceived, granted meaning, studied, shaped, used, transformed, protected, or destroyed different
ecological contexts. Alongside this, students will also explore how diverse ecological contexts have
their own role in shaping specific social worlds.
