Description: A wide compendium of short stories written by Mexican Americans, or Chicanxs will be analyzed, dating from the 1930s to the present day. Diverse approaches–historic, thematic, or regional–will be employed, as well as a focus on subgenres, such as adolescent literature or detective fiction. Authors include Daniel Cano, Sandra Cisneros, Jovita Gonzales, Americo Paredes, Albert A. Rios, Gary Soto, and others. Cross listed as ENGL167C CH.
