Description: Black and White Photography. Introductory photography course focuses on traditional black and white processes. Readings and lectures about issues, ideas, and photographers give students the opportunity to contextualize their own work within the trajectory of photographic history. Emphasis falls equally on questions of “how?” and “why?” and a final self-directed project allows students to explore their specific interests.
