Description: Palestine and Israel: A History of the Conflict
This course will examine the political, economic, social, and cultural history of the
Palestine/Israel conflict from its rise in the late nineteenth century up into the present. The
course will be thematically organized with a focus on historical debates and historiographical
issues. Class assignments will make use of scholarly, literary, and visual materials.
