Description: The death of Franco in 1975 marks the end of thirty years of dictatorship and new beginnings for Spain. This course will examine the transitional period from dictatorship to democracy through the study of several forms of expressions such as cinema, the press, literature, and art. Readings will be selected from newspapers and literature of the period. Prerequisite: Spanish 44.
