Description: This course is designed to develop oral and written skills in Spanish at the advanced level, and is organized around a series of cultural and controversial topics of current interest concerning the Hispanic world. Students will read cultural and social science texts, supplemented with films and other audio-visual material. This course prepares the student for advanced courses in literature and civilization. Prerequisite: Spanish 44.
