SPAN 127 CH -Literatura Chicana en Espanol Institution: Scripps
Description: Analyzes 20th-century texts written in the U.S. in Spanish. Focusing primarily on the Mexican American experience, we will survey a wide array of genres dating to distinct historical periods, from cronicas published in Spanish-language newspapers to political treatises, poetry, drama, and narrative. Course is taught in Spanish. Prerequisite: SPAN 44 or equivalent proficiency.
