Description: Statistics and Data Analysis for Politics
This course introduces students to the basic methods of statistics and data analysis in political science research,
with a focus on making causal inferences about how politics works. The same methods also apply to social
science questions of cause-and-effect relationships more generally. This course provides students with extensive
experience in handling data to answer real-world problems. While it has a heavy component of using the
analytical software R, students are not expected to have any prior programming knowledge.
