ORST 120 PZ -Politics of Org Culture Institution: Pitzer
Description: Textbook definition of organizational culture = the shared values, beliefs, meanings that make an organization unique and bind members to it. Reality, of course, is more complex (and more interesting). In this course, we will study how organizational culture is reinforced AND contested as an inherently and unavoidably political process. We will explore org culture from a variety of angles-from published scholarship, to community-based learning, to our own values and experiences, drawing on all of these to co-create new understandings. Note: Students will complete at least 40 hours of work with a partner organization over the semester.
Prerequisite(s): Please check course schedule for requirements.
For up-to-date information on current course offerings and details, please refer to the Pitzer class schedule on MyCampus2 Portal.
