CGS 038 PZ -Nature,Movemnt,Meditation:QiGong Institution: Pitzer
Description: Qigong is an ancient Chinese
philosophy and practice. This course will have two major components: 1) history
and theory of Qigong within Chinese culture, and 2) Qigong practice based on
the Wei Tuo Eight Minute Drill that balances energy components of the human
body for both physical and psychic health. Here the human ecology of the
interaction between Qi energy in the natural environment and human beings will be
investigated. This course will not only provide access to information and knowledge about another culture, but also will provide an opportunity to experience how
another culture accesses knowledge. Enrollment is limited.
