HIST 066 PZ -Oral History/Method and Practice Institution: Pitzer
Description: This course explores how scholars
have used oral history methodologies to reconstruct the pasts of communities
and individuals who are not frequently represented in typical historical sources.
The gathering of oral historiesfrom women, freed slaves, colonized people,
gays and lesbians, and other disadvantaged groupshas thus resulted in new
understandings of historical processes. Not only will students be introduced to oral
history methodologies, but they will also design and conduct oral history projects.
Prerequisite(s): Please check course schedule for requirements.
For up-to-date information on current course offerings and details, please refer to the Pitzer class schedule on MyCampus2 Portal.
