ECON 187 PZ -Sports Economics Institution: Pitzer
Description: Sports economics is an exciting and growing subfield of economics. This course is an introduction into the application of economics into the world of sports. This class will cover topics such as discrimination, gambling, and amateurism with a microeconomics and labor economics lens. Students will learn how to read and synthesize economic literature and present to classmates while focusing on an exciting and broad subfield of economics. This class does not require an athletic or sports-centered background for success. All levels of sports enthusiasm are welcome.
