ECON 052 PZ -Principles of Microeconomics

Description: Principles of Microeconomics is an introductory course that teaches the fundamentals of microeconomics. This course introduces microeconomic concepts and analysis including consumer choice by individuals, price and output decisions by firms under various market structures, supply and demand analysis in product and labor markets, welfare outcomes for consumers and producers, the effects of government taxes and policies, market efficiency ad market failure, and income distribution. We rely heavily on analysis using a graphical representation, though also discuss how these formal concepts apply to real-world issues.
