Description: Examines the intersection of theories of environmental degradation, economic development and gender. Social theories to be examined include: modernization theory, dependency and world systems, women in development vs. women and development, cultural ecology, eco-feminism, political ecology and feminist political ecology, gender and the environment, and population. Men are warmly welcomed to enroll!
