CLAS 121 JT -Classical Mythology Institution: Pitzer
Description: This class surveys some of the prominent myths of the ancient Greek and Roman world, with attention to material culture, literary interpretation, theory of myth and modern reception. How did Greeks and Romans live among their myths? The class is usually taught jointly by a literary Classicist and an archaeologist. Readings include selections from Hesiod, Homer, the dramatists, Ovid and Apuleius.
