Description: The chemistry of organic compounds developed from considerations of bonding, structure, synthesis, and mechanisms of reaction. Selected application of those principles to biological systems. Prerequisite: Chemistry 15L, or Chem 40L and Chem 15L, or equivalent; or both semesters of the AISS course. Chemistry 116L is the prerequisite for 117L. Enrollment limited to 50. Laboratory fee: $50 per semester. Offered every spring.
