Description: The chemistry of organic compounds developed from considerations of bonding, structure, synthesis, and mechanisms of reaction. Selected application of those principles to biological systems. Prerequisite: CHEM 15L, or Chem 40L/15L, or CHEM 42L, or both semesters of the AISS course. Chemistry 116L is the prerequisite for 117L. Enrollment limited to 50. Offered every fall.
