BIOL 150BL KS -Anat & Biomech:Bck/Core Stabliza Institution: Pitzer/Scripps
Description: Evolution and development of pronograde versus orthograde stance; development of pelvic diaphragm; mechanical properties of disks and vertebrate (creep); passive versus active stabilization and limb movement; back pain. Prerequisites: Biology 39L (or Dance 160 or Dance 163); an introductory course in biology (Biology 43 or 44, or Biol 40L, or equivalent); a course in classical mechanics (Physics 30 or 33, or equivalent), or both semesters of the AISS course, and permission of instructor. Enrollment to 15. Laboratory fee: $100. Offered every other year.
