PSYC 184 PZ -Psychology of Food and Eating

Description: This course in applied cognition will focus on the psychological processes involved in the eating experience. Possible topics include the role of the senses and expectations on the experience of flavor; food and aversions; the dining experience; advertising, film and food; neurogastronomy; environmental influences on eating; social class, gender and food; and food as an aspect of social identity. This course must be taken in conjunction with The Psychology of Food and Eating Research Pratcticum course. This portion of the course will be taught as a seminar. 

Prerequisite(s): PSYC010 PZ, PSYC091 PZ, and PSYC092 PZ. Please also check the current course schedule for requirements.
