EA 180 PZ -Green Urbanism Institution: Pomona
Description: Creating sustainable urban systems one of the 21st Century’s most crucial challenges. Green urbanism reassesses traditional notions about the interrelationship between the built and natural environments and focuses on catalytic interventions to create sustainable neighborhoods, districts, and regions. The course combines a survey of sustainable design and planning tools- urban ecology, biophilia, biomimicry, green building, the LEED rating system, eco districts, integrated infrastructure, and sustainable city indicators- with creating a proposal to apply the tools to a specific location.
Prerequisite(s): Juniors & Seniors only
