MATH 145B PZ - Low-Dimensional Topology A 2-manifold is a surface, a 3-manifold is a possible (spatial) universe, and a 4-manifold is a possible model for space-time. In each case, we will look at examples, construction techniques, and the problems of classifying and distinguishing such spaces.
Prerequisite(s): MATH 060 PZ
