ANTH 067 PZ - Monkeys, Apes and Humans

This course will explore the primates of the world–their social behaviors, ecology, and the habitats in which they live. Issues to be discussed include primate mating strategies, mother-infant bonds, infanticide and rape, the use of tools and medicinal plants, and language learning among captive apes. Finally, the course will examine human behavior and its reflection in our nonhuman primate cousins.
