LGCS 116 PZ -Language and EthnicityInstitution: Pitzer Description: This course will explore the language patterns of four American ethnic minority groups (African Americans, Hispanic Americans, Native Americans and Asian Americans) with a focus on inter-ethnic communication. Topics include the role of language in defining identity, language use in the classroom, nonverbal elements of communication, traditions of joking and bilingualism.
