ASAM 130 PZ -Science, Technology, Asian AmericaInstitution: Pitzer Description: This course explores the implications of Western science and technology on the Asian American experience. By interrogating how science has been defined in the "West" in relation to "non-Western" peoples, we will explore questions related to epistemology, racialization, migration, education, professionalization, and research, and the political stakes therein.
